 Coup de Coeur

We All Matter is a production by South-African dancer Jacki Job and French aerial performer Emilie Lelouch. This show is planned to be performed in planetaria and a first extract has been presented at Infecting The City, a Public Arts festival in Cape Town (2012).

We All Matter combines dance, an aerialist and a whole lot of science. It is an Art meets Astronomy project, co-inciding with the plan of the Office of Astronomy For Development (OAD), for the decade 2010-2020.

The Title, We All Matter, conveys the idea of how we as individuals are all interconnected and intertwined in the grand drama of life (we all matter), as well as our interconnectedness with molecular science and the building blocks of matter ( we all matter).

We All Matter looks at “the bigger picture”. The show aims to break down community borders by expressing our universal connections and our need of each other by exploring these essential yet elusive links.

It’s a magical trip to space and back, offering a unique interaction between the ground and the sky; between the feminine and the masculine; between the vast and the intimate.
